LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Sun showcased a dominant, four-goal performance to defeat the visiting Boston Tea Party 4-1 on Saturday.

Fyodor Dostoevsky and Brian Jones each registered a goal and an assist to lead the Sun’s balanced offensive effort.

Dostoevsky opened the scoring for Los Angeles, taking assists from Steph Curry and Jaromir Jagr. Boston’s Bobby Orr provided the sole response for the Tea Party, capitalizing on a setup from William Gibson to tie the game.

From there, it was all Los Angeles. Ty Cobb broke the tie with his goal, assisted by Angela James. Brian Jones later added to the lead, scoring off a pass from Dostoevsky. Marissa Mayer capped the scoring for the Sun, converting a feed from Jones to make it 4-1.

The Sun controlled the pace of play, outshooting the Tea Party 39-25. Dostoevsky and James led the barrage, peppering the Boston net with seven shots on goal each.

Orr was a bright spot for Boston in the loss, leading his team with three shots on goal in addition to his score.
